Human Sexuality and Families

This course is designed to provide counseling graduate students an overview of concepts, theories, and principles that pertain to the subject of human sexuality. This course explores an array of human sexuality topics including: gender development and roles, sexual anatomy and physiology, sexual expression and orientation, pregnancy and childbirth, contraception and abortion, and sexually transmitted diseases. Students will develop tools to support individuals and families who present to counseling with a variety of concerns pertaining to human sexuality.
