Counseling Children and Youth in Schools and Family Systems

This course is designed to provide counseling graduate students tools and skills needed to provide effective counseling services to children and their families. This course will explore counseling interventions that can be used in both a school-based counseling setting and community mental health or private practice setting. Students will also learn how to support parents of youth who are experiencing mental health counseling concerns. (3 credit hours)
