Families and Violence

This course is designed to provide counseling graduate students with an overview of concepts, theories, and principles that pertain to the subject of family violence. This course explores an array of family violence topics including: child physical and sexual abuse, child neglect and psychological maltreatment, adult sexual harassment and assault, dating violence and stalking, and intimate partner violence. Students will develop tools to support individuals and families who present to counseling with a variety of concerns pertaining to family violence. (3 Credit Hours)
