Drugs and Behavior

Drugs and Behavior will evaluate drug use from a psychological perspective and examine the effects of use on the brain and behavior. We will review the major classes of drugs including both legal and illegal drugs, with a focus on drugs used to treat mental disorders. This will include learning the mechanisms of drug action, government regulation of drugs, societal and cultural effects on addiction, and theories of addiction.
