Accreditation

LaGrange College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral degrees, as well as the educational specialist degree.  LaGrange College also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.  LaGrange College is also approved by the United Methodist University Senate. It has membership in the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities and the Georgia Independent College Association.

LaGrange College’s teacher education (undergraduate and graduate) programs are accredited by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission to recommend candidates for initial teacher certification in the areas of elementary education, music education, middle grades education, and secondary education.

The undergraduate programs in Business and Accountancy are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), has granted accreditation to the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (M.S.) program.
