Dr. Dixie Powers graduated from Auburn University with a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision in August 2017. She has been working clinically in community mental health for the last 5 years and now co-owns a private practice in Columbus, GA called The Wandering Mind. Prior to coming to LaGrange, Dr. Powers worked part time as an Adjunct Professor for Auburn University for 2 years. Dr. Powers practices from a CBT lens and has a passion for crisis work. She absolutely loves Auburn Football and she is so excited to share her love for counseling with LaGrange College!
