Biography

PAUL HAMMOCK is course instructor, chief engineer and technical director for the Music and Film and Media Arts programs at LaGrange College. He has consulted professionally with Abbey Road Studios, London and Mosfilm Studios, Moscow and has provided sound for such music notables as Percy Sledge, Wet Willie, Drivin N Cryin, Blackberry Smoke, Rare Earth, Foghat and Dr. Ralph Stanley and His Clinch Mountain Boys.

Paul was a founding partner of Jammates Records. He was a Georgia Songwriter of the Year nominee (“Running Into the Sun”) and is on the advisory board of Sweetland Amphitheatre in LaGrange, Georgia. Hammock has produced recordings for the London Symphony Orchestra, The Russian National Orchestra, and the LaGrange Symphony, for which he produced The Joy of the Orchestra, a weekly, one-hour radio program hosted by conductor Richard Prior. 

Paul Hammock's engineering expertise is highly sought-after outside the classroom. His list of clients has included The Miss Georgia Pageant, the City of Atlanta’s Office of Cultural Affairs, Kimberly Clark, Coca-Cola, IBM and Delta Air Lines.

As audio instructor and chief engineer for the LaGrange College Music and Film and Media Arts programs, Paul Hammock works directly with student musicians and filmmakers to develop their audio skills, recording projects and musical performances. He advises on Musical Theatre shows, Theatre Arts productions, and major college events.
