According to Georgia Emergency Management a significant winter weather event will unfold across North and Central Georgia tomorrow. A mix of rain, freezing rain, sleet, and snow will begin to move into western Georgia by sunrise on Friday, overspreading much of North and Central Georgia throughout the morning.
In response to this weather event, please note the following:
- Campus will be closed on Friday morning and will open at noon as conditions permit. Employees who can are encouraged to work from home Friday morning. Staff and faculty should resume normal on-campus duties as roads, power outages and other conditions allow. Remote work is permitted for those who may not be able to come to campus, please work directly with your supervisor if you have any related questions.
- All sessions for New Student Orientation will be conducted remotely. Advising will take place virtually with the Advising Deans.
