B.M. in Music Production and Audio Engineering

This program of study prepares the student for study at the graduate level and/or an entry-level position in the music industry, including: composition, film/video scoring, multimedia, and electro-acoustic concert and studio applications. Students of this program typically come from backgrounds that include performance, composition, song writing, electronic and/or computer music. 

In addition to the general education requirements, students complete the following Music courses:

MUSI 1103 Piano I (2 hours)
MUSI 1110 American Music (3 hours) or MUSI 1112 Music Survey (3 hours)
MUSI 1501 Music Theory I (3 hours) 
MUSI 1502 Music Theory II (3 hours)
MUSI 1503 Piano II (2 hours)
MUSI 2113 Ear Training I (2 hours)
MUSI 2501 Music Production & Audio Engineering I (3 hours)
MUSI 2502 Music Production & Audio Engineering II (3 hours)
MUSI 3105P/3106P Applied Music Production and Audio Engineering (5 hours total - 1 hour each in 5 semesters)
MUSI 3501 Ear Training II (2 hours)
MUSI 3107G/3108G LC Performance Ensemble (4 hours total - 1 hour each in 4 semesters)
MUSI 3502 Music Industry Forum (1 hour)
MUSI 4488 Capstone Presentation (3 hours)
In addition to the courses listed above, students must complete 20 hours from remaining MUSI classes.
