Discover your creative space

You’ll find the Lamar Dodd Art Center to be a perfect place for education and expression. Named in honor of celebrated Georgia artist Lamar Dodd, the newly renovated three-story, 32,000 square-foot facility provides large, open classrooms, private studios and space dedicated to each discipline:

  • A state-of the-art ceramics and sculpture area
  • A well-equipped shop for woodworking and welding
  • A photography area that contains a traditional darkroom as well as Mac computers and printers for digital imaging
  • A fully updated Mac lab for the Graphic Design program
  • Capacity for intaglio, lithography and relief printmaking in the printmaking studio
  • A tiered lecture room using LED projection for art history and other lectures

Art students also have access to a permanent collection of over 2,500 works in the college museum, including creations by Rembrandt, Picasso and Rauschenberg. In addition, you’ll enjoy a series of rotating exhibits of traditional and contemporary art.
