Class options include: 

MGMT 2200 Foundations of Business (existing)

The course is designed around a business simulation called BizCafé, in which entrepreneurial teams managing all aspects of a small coffee shop for nine weeks, developing creative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and gaining insights into the integrative approach required in today’s business world.

MGMT 3370 Management / Organizational Behavior (existing)

The course explores the art and science of management and examines behaviors at the individual, group, and enterprise levels that advance or hinder work in organizations. The focus will be on understanding how to effectively manage performance and change in today’s complex business environment.

MGMT 3100 Human Resource Management (new) (no prerequisite)

Course Description

This course is designed to provide an overview of human resource management as a business function covering a broad range of topics to include performance management, talent management, staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, strategic alignment, organizational design, and common legal issue human resources professionals face.

MGMT 3110 Staffing (new) (no prerequisite)

Course Description

This course is designed to cover human resources’ role in staffing an organization by exploring key elements associated with strategic alignment, employee forecasting, job analysis, recruitment, selection, training, performance management, termination, and the common legal issues associated with staffing.
