Family Orientation Webinars

Taking a full set of courses in a new environment is challenging. We spend a good deal of time helping your students adjust to life away from home, understand their new interdependence with others, work with faculty and engage with college-level coursework, and acclimate to life with many different people.

Our goal, however, is not to replace you as parents.

Instead, our goal is to teach them to understand how to juggle interdependence with you, their friends, and their new campus with the independence that comes from living and studying away from home. We teach students to advocate for themselves, whether that is in the classroom, on the athletic field, or in our offices.

You have done a great job with your student so far! Now, we want to partner with you now to helping your student develop that self-advocacy!

To discuss that partnership and to give you a sense of what students are experiencing at the beginning of the term, we invite you to a series of Family Orientation webinars this fall.

Sessions will be held remotely on Zoom on Monday evenings, 7 – 8 p.m. EDT. The schedule is given below.
